Your Data, Handled Properly at Newvegas
Here's exactly what we collect to verify your AUD account and process PayID, POLi and crypto payments, and what happens to it after that.
How Newvegas Collects and Uses Your Data
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Running AUD accounts with local payment rails means we hold more than a username and password. This page sets out what we collect, why, where it sits, and how you can control it.
What we collect when you open an account
When you register at Newvegas, we ask for your full name, date of birth, email, mobile number and residential address. This isn't optional paperwork. Australian age and identity checks require it before your first withdrawal, and often before your first deposit if our systems flag your account for early verification.
- Identity documents: driver licence, passport or proof-of-age card for age and identity verification
- Proof of address: a recent utility bill or bank statement if your details don't match public records
- Payment details: PayID reference, POLi bank login confirmation, card BIN and last four digits, or the wallet address used for crypto deposits and withdrawals
- Device and session data: IP address, browser type and login timestamps, used for fraud checks and account security
- Support history: chat transcripts and email correspondence if you contact our team
PayID and POLi specifics
PayID deposits and withdrawals are matched against the name registered to your bank account. We do not store your online banking password at any point. POLi works the same way: you authorise the transfer through your own bank's login screen, and Newvegas only receives confirmation that the payment cleared, along with the reference number needed to reconcile it against your account balance.
Cryptocurrency wallets
For Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT transactions, we record the wallet address you deposit from or withdraw to, plus the transaction hash. Blockchain transactions are public by nature, but we don't link your wallet address to your identity beyond what's needed to process the payment and satisfy anti-fraud checks.
Why we collect it
- Confirming you're 18 or over, as required for anyone playing at Newvegas
- Matching deposits and withdrawals to the correct AUD account balance
- Detecting duplicate accounts, bonus abuse or payment fraud
- Meeting anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to Australian-facing payment processing
- Sending account notifications, security alerts and, where you've opted in, promotional offers
Where your data is stored
Account and payment records are held on secured servers with encryption applied to data in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to staff who need it for verification, payments or support, and every access event is logged. We don't sell player data to third parties. Information is shared only with the parties needed to run your account: our payment processors handling PayID, POLi, card and crypto transactions, identity verification providers, and, where legally required, Australian regulatory or law enforcement bodies.
How long we keep it
Verification documents and transaction records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a period afterwards to meet financial record-keeping obligations. If you close your account, core identity and payment records are kept for the minimum period required before deletion, rather than indefinitely.
Your rights as a player
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate details on your account
- Request deletion of data we no longer need to hold for legal or financial reasons
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails and SMS at any time via account settings
- Ask which third parties your payment data was shared with for a specific transaction
To action any of the above, contact support through live chat or email using the address in your account dashboard. We aim to respond to data requests within a reasonable timeframe and may ask for identity confirmation first, so we're not handing your records to someone else.
